Effective date: October 28, 2026
Huck's Guide (hucksguide.com) is operated by Stonecreed Holding LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Huck's Guide," "we," "us" or "our"). These terms are an agreement between you and us. By using the site, sending a request, or listing a business, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. What Huck's Guide is
Huck's Guide is a local directory and guide for Bonners Ferry and Boundary County, Idaho. We list local businesses that do work on homes and land. We don't pass job requests to businesses right now; we may offer that later.
The work, price and schedule are between you and the business.
We don't do the work. We aren't a contractor, employer, agent or broker for any business or customer, and we aren't part of any agreement between you and a business. Huck's Guide isn't a government website and isn't connected with Boundary County, the City of Bonners Ferry or any state agency.
2. Who can use the site
You must be 18 or older to send a request or list a business. If you use the site for a business, you confirm you're allowed to act for that business.
3. Using the site fairly
When you use Huck's Guide, please don't:
- break the law or help someone else break it;
- send false, joke or spam requests, or pretend to be someone else;
- post another person's private information;
- copy listings in bulk, scrape the site, or use bots or automated tools to collect information from it (search engines indexing our public pages are welcome);
- use listing information to send businesses unwanted marketing;
- interfere with the site, its security or its spam protection.
We may block anyone who doesn't follow these rules.
4. Sending a request
Huck's Guide doesn't take job requests right now. We may offer them later.
5. Business listings
- Listings are free for real businesses that serve Boundary County. We decide which businesses, categories and areas we list.
- We may write or edit listing text, choose categories and tags, and show the date we last reviewed a listing. "Last checked" is the date we last reviewed this listing. It isn't a review of quality, price or licensing.
- Information you give us must be accurate and yours to share. You let us show it on Huck's Guide and in materials about the site while you're listed, and keep it in our records afterward.
- Please keep your listing current, including whether you're taking new work.
- You're responsible for your own registrations, licenses, permits, insurance, taxes, safety and work, and for following the law.
- Badges such as "Idaho Registered" appear only after we confirm them with the state, and we may remove a badge we can't confirm later. Badges are never sold.
- We may decline, edit or remove a listing at any time, for example if it's wrong, the business has closed, or it breaks these terms.
- To update or remove your listing, use the Get listed form or email us. We'll take a listing off the site within 10 business days of a removal request.
6. Requests to businesses
We don't pass job requests to businesses right now. We may offer that later.
7. Free listings
Listings on Huck's Guide are free, and no business can pay for a badge.
8. Choosing a business
Who you hire is your decision. Before you hire anyone:
- check their state registration and licenses, for example with the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses license search;
- ask about insurance;
- get a written estimate;
- ask for references.
A listing on Huck's Guide isn't an endorsement or a recommendation of any business.
9. Information on the site
Guides and any tools, calculators or local condition info we add are general information. They can change or be out of date, and calculators give estimates only. Always check the official source before you act, for example before burning, traveling in bad weather or doing work that needs a permit. Nothing on the site is legal, engineering, financial or safety advice. Local condition info comes from public agencies and other outside sources that we don't control.
10. Links to other websites
The site links to other websites, including business websites and government pages. We don't control them and aren't responsible for what they say or do.
11. Our content
The Huck's Guide name, logo, design, text and tools belong to us or to people who let us use them. You're welcome to share links to our pages, and to use any badge or embed code we offer, as we provide it. Please don't copy our pages or listings in bulk or present them as your own.
12. What you send us
When you send us listing details, photos, corrections or ideas, you let us use them to run and improve Huck's Guide. Only send material you have the right to share.
13. Copyright complaints
If you believe something on Huck's Guide uses your copyrighted work without permission, email hucksguide@use.startmail.com with:
- a description of your work;
- where it appears on our site;
- your name and contact details;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized;
- a statement that your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you own the work or may act for the owner;
- your signature (a typed name is fine).
We'll review it and remove material that infringes.
14. No warranties
Huck's Guide is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. That includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't promise that the site will always be available or free of errors. We don't promise that any listing, guide, local condition info or calculator result is accurate, complete or current.
15. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- Huck's Guide, Stonecreed Holding LLC and its owners aren't responsible for work a business does or doesn't do, for what a business charges, or for disputes between you and a business;
- we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or business, even if we were told they were possible;
- our total liability for all claims about the site is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Some places don't allow some of these limits. Where that's the case, they apply as far as the law allows.
16. Your responsibility
If you break these terms or the law, or misuse the site, you agree to cover the reasonable costs, losses and attorney fees that we or our owners face from any resulting claims. If you're a business, this also covers claims about your work, your prices and how you handle customer information.
17. Disputes
- With a business: work it out with the business directly. We may try to help, but we don't have to.
- With us: please email us first. We'll try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days.
- Which law and which court: these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any lawsuit about these terms or the site must be brought in the state courts for Boundary County, Idaho, or in the United States District Court for the District of Idaho. You and we agree to those courts. Either of us may use small claims court instead if the claim qualifies.
18. Changes
We may change, pause or stop any part of Huck's Guide, including any listing, at any time. We may update these terms by posting a new version here with a new effective date. If a change is important, we'll also note it at the top of this page for 30 days. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms. Changes don't apply to a dispute that started before them.
19. Ending use
You can stop using Huck's Guide at any time. We may suspend or end anyone's access, or remove any listing, if they break these terms. Sections 4, 5 (records), 6, 8 and 11 through 20 still apply after that.
20. Other legal terms
These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the site, along with the terms of any paid feature you buy. If a court finds part of these terms can't be enforced, that part will be limited as needed and the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later. You can't transfer your rights under these terms without our written permission. We may transfer ours to whoever takes over Huck's Guide.
